After the intense COVID lockdowns and restricted Diwali celebrations, Adani decided to share their Diwali wishes with a blend of enthusiasm and caution. During the design phase of this campaign, we faced challenges in finding the right tone and animation style. We needed something that was both relatable and capable of delivering a wow factor, which led us to choose a stop-motion animation style.
You’ll notice that the animation features minimal cuts; this was intentional, as we wanted the film to have a seamless flow from beginning to end.
Selecting the voice-over was another critical decision. We needed a narration that was quirky and celebratory yet carried a hint of the wise caution typical of an elder. After considering several options, we found that Raghubir Sir’s voice was perfect. His unique tone encapsulates the rawness and warmth we wanted for the Diwali campaign.
On a personal note, my favorite part of the film is the outro. It features elements of Diwali that are handpicked from my personal favorites, adding a special touch to the overall experience.
